Beauchamp boosts Fulton

Riley Beauchamp pocketed 19 points as the Fulton Maroons iced the Kalamalka Lakers 89-47 in high school hoops Tuesday night.

Riley Beauchamp pocketed 19 points and nine rebounds as the Fulton Maroons iced the visiting Kalamalka Lakers 89-47 in North Zone Senior AA Boys Basketball League play Tuesday night.

Tye Kitzman rung up 14 points and 10 rebounds for Fulton, while Michael Rouault collected a dozen points, nine boards and 10 assists.

Darrien Broomfield also drained a dozen points, going 6-for-6 at the charity stripe as Fulton grabbed a 66-28 lead at the half. Cory Ang-Hamilton chipped in with 11 points.

The Lakers got nine points apiece from Ajay Jhajj, Alwien Dippenaar and Lucas Ross. Jamie Pruckl netted eight points and Chris Gallant sank seven.

The Lakers visit the Seaton Sonics Saturday night (7:45) Fulton played the Pleasant Valley Saints Thursday night. The Maroons write exams early next week and then head to Kamloops for the Sa-Hali Sabres Invitational, starting Thursday.

In junior boys play, Nick Berg bagged 22 points as Fulton ambushed Kal 78-19 Tuesday night.

Kobe Romanovitch flushed 15 points and Bhupi Banga added eight for the Maroons. It was 51-7 Maroons at the half.
