Bellyfit LIVE fundraiser for Comox Valley KidSport on April 19

Event goes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Native Sons Hall in Courtenay

Studio IPF: Inner Pursuit Fitness and event sponsors Finneron Hyundai and Long & McQuade are hosting a Bellyfit LIVE community fundraiser in support of Comox Valley KidSport on Sunday, April 19.

Why KidSport? “It’s easy,” says IPF owner Leanne Zdebiak-Eni. “So all kids can play. Sadly, there are many children in our community who would like nothing more than to play sports, but due to financial restraints, it’s not possible for them. KidSport gives these kids the positive experience of being on a team and allows them to reap the endless benefits that come from that experience.”  KidSport is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial assistance for registration fees and equipment to kids aged 18 and under. Through a confidential application process they provide grants, so local Comox Valley kids can play a season of sport.

Bellyfit LIVE pairs a DJ with a Bellyfit  instructor to create a singularly unique fitness experience. Zdebiak-Eni is especially excited about this fundraiser, as she will be reunited with DJ em.ash, after nearly a year.

DJ em.ash, (Michael Holding), has recently returned to the Comox Valley and will spin his signature inspiring blend of cutting edge, uplifting dance music.

Bellydance, Bollywood, Bhangra and African are a few of the dance cultures on which Bellyfit draws inspiration for this unique workout.  A blend of martial arts and kick boxing are also added into the mix.  Developed specifically for women, Bellyfit merges effective and energetic fitness training with the spirit of joy and practice of mindfulness.

“Bellyfit LIVE has been an incredible way for Leanne and I to reach out to the community and be of service to those in need,” says em.ash “The spirit of Bellyfit adds special meaning to each of our fundraisers.”

Proceeds will directly benefit Comox Valley KidSport.  Admission is by donation (with a suggested $15 median).

The event goes from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Native Sons Hall, 360 Cliffe Ave. Wear comfortable workout gear, clean running shoes and bring a water bottle and yoga mat, if you have one.

Women and girls aged 12 and over are welcome to join the class.
