Records fell at Centennial Pool on the weekend, as the Abbotsford Whalers swim club hosted its annual invitational meet.

Nadia Berard led the way, setting a trio of meet records in the Division 7 girls category. Berard established new marks in the 100-metre breaststroke, 100m freestyle and 200m individual medley. The 200m IM record was a particularly impressive accomplishment for Berard, given that the previous mark had endured since 1985.

Fallon Quast also took an eraser to the record books, setting a new standard in the Div. 2 girls 100m free.

Aggregate division winners from the Abbotsford club included Ryan Saether (Div. 1 boys), Lauren Kennedy (Div. 2 girls), Adam Niwranski (Div. 2 boys), Laura Berard (Div. 3 girls), Emily Aikema (Div. 4 girls), Brady Utas (Div. 4 boys), Devon Becker (Div. 5 boys), Kira Poirier (Div. 6 girls), Nadia Berard (Div. 7 girls), Jennifer Martel (Div. 8 girls), Duncan Gleed (Div. 8 boys) and Gavin Wiese (O Cat boys).

The meet drew 370 swimmers from around the Fraser Valley, including 173 from the host Whalers.
