A number of National Hockey League players along with players from the WHL, BCHL, and college ranks are in the lineup for this summer’s Pro-Am game set for Aug. 8, 7 p.m. at Shaw Centre.
So far, Ryan Smyth of the Edmonton Oilers, Cody Franson of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Aaron Gagnon of the Winnipeg Jets and Mike Moore of the San Jose Sharks have confirmed their attendance.
Former SilverBacks goalie Kris Moore and returning SilverBacks netminder Adam Clark are two of the goalies who have committed to the game.
Western Hockey League players playing will include Kamloops Blazer stalwart Dylan Willick, Lucas Nickles of the Tri City Americans and Shane Danyluk of the Prince Albert Raiders.
Local minor hockey products Shane Hanna and Bryden Marsh of the Salmon Arm SilverBacks will also be suiting up.
More players are expected but not all confirm their attendance in advance.
General admission will be $6 per person. Tickets are available at Chevy’s Sports.
The 2011 scholarship was awarded to Dallas Flockhart who played for the Golden Rockets in the KIJHL last year.
