More than 100 athletes and support staff from over 15 countries around the world will converge on Big White Resort next week for the 2017 World Para Snowboard Championships.
From Feb. 1 to 8, Team Canada will be well represented on home soil by one of the largest of all the teams at the event, led by two-time X Games medalist Alex Massie from Barrie, Ont.
Other notable Canadians competing are 2014 Sochi Paralympians John Leslie from Arnprior, Ont., and Calgary’s Michelle Salt.
Okanagan athlete, Curt Minard of Vernon, is also expected to compete at his first ever Para Snowboard World Championships.
