Bill Kelly, head professional at Glacier Greens Golf Course in Comox, is the PGA of British Columbia’s new president. He was inducted as the groups’s 38th president at their Feb. 23 general meeting in Vancouver.
Serving the last two years as vice-presidents of administration and finance, Kelly, a resident of Nanaimo, was selected by the Board of Directors for the role. He succeeds Fairview Mountain Golf Club’s executive professional Brian McDonald, who previously held the position since 2013. McDonald will remain on the PGA of BC Board as past-president.
“I am honoured to be selected as the PGA of BC President,” Kelly said. “I am very proud of our brand and the 650 members across British Columbia who represent it. The PGA of BC Board of Directors will continue to focus on member benefits, education and engagement” says Kelly.
“The Association is strong and carrying a lot of momentum, it is my goal to keep that momentum rolling. In conclusion, I would also like to thank Brian McDonald for a very successful two-year term as president,” he added.
