The M&K Ready-Mixers used Mike Bissell’s bat in a 17-11 Vernon Senior Men’s Slo-Pitch League win over the Canadians at DND #7.
Bissell went 5-for-5 with a pair of dingers for the Mixers, who got marvellous defence and four hits from third basemen Al McNiven.
Ray Yuskiw homered for the Canadians and threw Matt Brown out at third from deep centre field.
The Lions, meanwhile, got four runs from Don Malakoff and three apiece from Gerry Bilodeau and Garnet Willett as they outlasted the Lake Country Truss Lakers 21-17.
Jason Sherwood smacked two home runs, while Ross Jewell had three runs for the Lakers.
The Mixers ambushed Rosters Sports Club 25-10 behind four hits, including an inside-the-park homer, from Jason Mace.
Doug Brown was 5-for-5 with four runs, while Ray Nordstrom went 4-for-5 with four runs to help the Mixers.
