Twenty-one Williams Lake Blue Fins swimmers came home from Kamloops with some great results that proved to be the best the city swimmers have ever had.
The meet had more than 500 swimmers from throughout B.C. and Alberta.
Taylor Fitzgerald set new club records in the 400-metre individual medley, 100-metre backstroke and 50-metre backstroke.
Cristelle Panida also set a new record in the 50-metre butterfly and reset it again in finals later that day.
Morgan Langford set another record in the 100-metre backstroke, beating teammate Fitzgeralds’ time from last year.
Jadyn Johnston, meanwhile, set new records in the 400-metre individual medley, 200-metre butterfly and 100-metre butterfly.
The 13 and 14-year-old relay team featuring Fitzgerald, Panida, Abby Webb and Gabrielle Knox, who moved up from the younger age group, took over a second off the old club relay record.
“Significant improvements were achieved by everyone at the meet, especially Peyton Bailey, Emma Grace MacDonald, Marissa Sellars and Dylan DeRose,” Blue Fins head coach Chad Webb said.

Taylor Fitzgerald: three silver medals
Jadyn Johnston: one gold, two silver, three bronze, one fifth
Luca Johnston: one fifth and one sixth
Morgan Langford: one gold, two bronze and two eighths
Gabrielle Knox: three fourths, two sevenths
Cristelle Panida: one fourth
Rowan Smith: one fourth, two fifths
The meet wraps up the competition season for the Fins, who don’t have provincial standards and haven’t been shortlisted for the BC Summer Games.
The Blue Fins will host its awards night on June 20 where they will celebrate their highly-successful season.
