The Williams Lake Blue Royals took bronze at the Williams Lake Bantam Recreational Hockey Tournament on the weekend.
The club knocked off Quesnel Amboy Logging 6-4 Sunday at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex in a back and forth thriller.
Royals assistant captain Keegan Morey scored four goals, while teammate Adam Stafford potted two more in the winning effort.
Backstopping the win between the pipes was Ben Stafford.
The tournament featured 10 teams including visitors from 100 Mile House, Lac La Hache, Kamloops and two teams from Quesnel, who were joined by teams from the lakecity.
Taking gold were the Kamloops North Stars who beat Quesnel, 4-3, in Sunday’s final.
Williams Lake Grey beat Williams Lake Red, 3-0, for fifth, Williams Lake Black beat Lac La Hache, 4-2, for seventh and Williams Lake Green thwarted 100 Mile House for ninth.
Coming up this weekend at the CMRC is the Midget House Hockey Tournament.
