One of the Valley’s leading fitness companies has teamed up with KidSport Comox Valley to help all children in the Comox Valley participate in the sport of their choice.
On Saturday, March 21, BodyNetix Professional Fitness Training is offering two of its popular FitCamps by donation, with all proceeds going to KidSport Comox Valley. The BodyNetix FitCamp for KidSport sessions will run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 4 to 5 p.m., respectively.
“BodyNetix is about empowering people to get active, get fit and live a healthy lifestyle,” says BodyNetix trainer and partner Megan Penney. “Sport makes fitness fun and instills positive, healthy habits in children that they’ll carry with them through their entire lives. That some kids aren’t able to take advantage of those opportunities due to a lack of resources is heartbreaking.”
KidSport believes that no child should be left on the sidelines, and that all children should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sports. The organization provides support to children in order to remove financial barriers that prevent them from playing organized sport. Last year, KidSport Comox Valley helped 61 local children participate in sports they wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.
FitCamp for KidSport participants are encouraged to RSVP by March 19 to admin@bodynetix.ca or 250-871-2400.
“This is one of the best workouts you’ll get, and the group atmosphere makes it lots of fun,” says Penney. “Not only will you feel great physically, but on March 21 you’ll feel great for having helped out some local children as well.”
BodyNetix recommends a donation of $20, but any amount will be gratefully accepted. Learn more about BodyNetix at www.bodynetix.ca. For more information about KidSport, visit www.kidsportcanada.ca.
