Bombers soar

Zach Smith carried the ball 15 times for 148 yards and three touchdowns as the Vernon Blue Bombers grounded the host Kamloops Broncos 30-6 in Southern Interior Atom Football League action Sunday.

Smith scored two TDs on 10-yard runs and another on a three-yard plunge. He also tossed a 25-yard pass completion to Liam Glennon, who booted three converts.

The Bombers also got a 15-yard touchdown romp from Matthew Reich in the first half, which ended 22-6 Vernon. Reich finished with 10 touches for 69 yards.

Ethan Anderson rushed six times for 11 yards, while Glennon had one carry for 10 yards.

On defence, Smith recorded 6.5 tackles and one safety, while Reich had 3.5 tackles and Isaiah Ondrik earned three.

Devin Hofsink turned in 2.5 tackles, while Anderson had one fumble recovery.
