More than 200 students in grades 4 through 7 from across School District 51 hustled their way around the fields at Perley School in Grand Forks during the district’s annual track meet last Friday, more than 80 athletes attended from Greenwood and West Boundary elementary schools.

Last week’s event was the district’s first elementary meet in two years, after the 2018 one was canceled due to flood recovery efforts. It was only the third since the district began hosting the meets in 2000, and the first to be skipped for reasons other than a teacher strike.
