Bowlers claim intercity crown

Fourteen bowlers from Williams Lake flushed out the competition when they attended the 2016 Intercity Bowling Tournament.

Fourteen bowlers from Williams Lake flushed out the competition in Kelowna and Vernon when they attended the 2016 Intercity Bowling Tournament March 18-19.

The men’s team, which consisted of Ervin Hannah, Kevin McAlpine, Morgan Mailhiot, Dustin Morrison, Brent Morrison, Tyler McLean and coach Sharon Atkinson, brought home the first-place trophy.

Sixteen other cities from around the province competed at the event.

Mailhiot and Williams Lake women’s team bowler Alyx Page, meanwhile, brought home medals for making the all-star team.

Mailhiot also claimed a trophy for having the men’s highest score in a block of four games.
