Cariboo Bowling Lanes crowned its Youth Bowling Canada (YBC) bowlers of the year earlier this month at the local lanes.
Eight lanes worth of YBC bowlers converged April 6 to compete in four different divisions.
Prior, bowlers of the month were selected throughout the season where whoever improved their average by the most pins for that month was awarded the title.
Winners there competed for bowlers of the year — a pins over average tournament where whoever got the most pins over their average for all three games were declared the winner in peewee, bantam, junior and senior divisions.
Winning in the peewee class was Meakin Carlson-Campbell, bantam champion was Lila-Dawn McAlpine, junior was Octavious Sill and Caleb Sebuliak and senior winner was Kesha Schutz.
