The Maple Ridge Burrards got four goals each from Mike Mallory and Riley Loewen and opened the WLA playoffs Tuesday with a 13-9 win over the Salmonbellies in New Westminster.
Mallory also had four assists, while Loewen added two and the Burrards connected three times on the power play, as well as twice shorthanded.
Connor Goodwin added an empty-netter, and scored earlier.
Ben McIntosh also scored twice, and had four assists. Jarrett Davis also had four assists. Dan Taylor had three helpers, while Loewen had two. Frank Scigliano made 49 saves as the Burrards were outshot 58-53.
Ridge led 7-5 after the first period, 10-8 after two and outscored New West 3-1 in the third.
