This past weekend was a busy one for Sooke’s Atom C2 team.

Saturday’s game against JDF C4 proved to be more work than anticipated.

The opposing team got off to a strong start and boasted a 4-1 lead early in the second period. Despite two consecutive goals by Kyle Brown to shorten the gap, the opposition held strong and scored another goal late in the third, making the final score 5-3.

Not too discouraged, the boys were back on the ice early Sunday to face Saanich C3. An early goal by Lemont Major, assisted by Kohl Logan, set the tone for the game and this awesome duo produced three more goals, two of which were scored by Logan.

Despite two goals by Saanich early in the third period, Sooke’s defence held strong, and with nothing short of exceptional goal tending by Nick Haisell and strong teamwork, Sooke took the game with a final score of 6-2.

What fantastic hockey to watch!
