Vancouver’s Furious George continued its reign as the nation’s top ultimate Frisbee team on Sunday.

Furious won the men’s open division of the Canadian Ultimate Championships, which took place in Victoria last week, culminating with a series of finals at Royal Athletic Park on Sunday.

A few local players got in on the hardware as they were members of the Nomads, which won the men’s masters (over 33) division. Republic, a team of Victoria and Nanaimo players, made it to the semifinals of the men’s masters, but no further.
