The Vernon Kal Tire Canadians split a pair of games in Midget AA baseball action.
Kal Tire stopped the Sports Store Canadians 18-6 in an all-Vernon battle Monday night at Marshall Field.
Shelby Hartwig went 3-for-4, including a bases -loaded triple. Tyler Droder also went 3-for-4, while Brandon Harder supplied two hits and two ribbies and Riley Preston had two hits.
Earlier, the C’s lost 5-2 to the first-place Kelowna Black Sox. Darren Zupp’s team could only come up with three hits against Kelowna ace Jared Weaver.
Jacob Holland had a strong game behind the plate, picking off two base runners.
