The Castlegar Rebels will have to wait a little longer to see who their opponent for the league championship will be.
After a game one loss to the Osoyoos Coyotes, the Knights reeled off three straight wins, scoring a total of fifteen goals to the Coyotes’ two, to lead the series three games to one.
Game five Thursday, March 21 in Armstrong, B.C. proved to be a tougher contest.
The score was deadlocked at one through 20 minutes but in the second, the Coyotes jumped out to a lead they would not relinquish, adding another in the third for a 3 – 1 victory.
With the series now at 3 – 2, game six in the Okanagan-Shuswap conference final goes back to Osoyoos tomorrow with a 7:35 p.m. PST start time.
Game one of the championship series is tentatively scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Castlegar.
