As fog starting to roll across the rain-soaked fields at the Castlegar Complex, Ryan Trickey (12) took advantage of a rare opportunity to grab a 1-0 victory over Rossland on Monday, June 24 in a hard-fought soccer match.
All eyes went toward the goal after Trickey stretched out to head a ball past the Rossland goaltender late in the second half.
Headers for goals aren’t seen too often at the U13 level but Trickey made no mistake on a nice cross from teammate Owen Reilly (11).
The next playoff game is an all Castlegar affair as two local teams battle at the same field on Tuesday, June 25 at 6:40 p.m.
