With the soccer season started up, the Sooke Celtic have three losses and one win under their belts.
According to Sooke Celtic manager, Steve Scott, the team is currently missing some members of their regular roster to the drawn out summer weather.
He expects things will pick-up upon the return of their regular players.
The team is also playing in the Pacific Cup, a tourney featuring teams from the Vancouver Island Soccer League and the Fraser Valley Soccer League.
The Celtic were the single team from the VISL to make it past round one, and have made it into the semi-finals.
They will be heading to Vancouver for the semi-finals on Oct. 20.
Scott said one of the challenges the Celtic face in the tourney is playing against unfamiliar teams.
“We don’t know really anything about those teams,” he said, adding the team is also at the bottom of the draw meaning the Celtic have to travel to Vancouver for every game.
“So, that’s bit of a challenge, too,” he said.
The Celtic’s next league game will be on Oct. 13 at Finlayson on Topaz Park against the Bays United Liquor Plus at 8 p.m.
