There’s still time to sign up for the fourth annual Victoria Goddess Run, the West Shore’s very own celebration of active women.
The event, scheduled for the weekend of June 5 to 7, kicks off on the Friday with a Women’s Expo and race package pickup at the Westin Bear Mountain Golf Resort and Spa happening from at noon until 7 p.m.
A special sunset yoga class with Moksha Yoga goes from 7 to 8 p.m. on site.
Saturday at Bear Mountain sees a breakfast event from 8 to 9:30 a.m. with motivational speakers, and the continuation of the expo.
A fun three-kilometre bathrobe walk/run happens at 11 a.m., then from 5 to 8 p.m., popular rock band 54/40 performs, supported by opening act Daniel Lapp. Tickets are $30.
On Sunday, June 7, runners and walkers will pound the pavement in Langford starting from Westhills Stadium, at 5K, 10K and half marathon (21K) distances.
More than $100,000 has been raised to date by the event, with funds going to the Victoria Women’s Transition House, Victoria Sexual Assault Centre and Kidsport – Active Girls Program.
