The host Chargers won the consolation game at Duncan Christian School’s 29th annual ball hockey tournament on May 13 to finish fifth.

The Chargers went winless in the round robin, scoring only one goal over five games, but beat Langley Christian 2 by a 3-2 score to salvage the day.

Duncan Christian lost 3-0 to Langley Christian 1, 5-0 to Richmond Christian, 7-0 to Surrey Christian and 5-0 to Pacific Academy before falling 3-1 to Langley Christian 2 in their last round-robin game. Seth Johnson scored the lone goal in that game.

While the top four teams moved on to the playoff round, eventually won by Pacific Academy, the Chargers and Langley Christian 2 met again in the consolation match. Nick Harder, Tim Wilson and Malachi Wall scored for DCS and Aidan Pacholuk got the win in net as the Chargers prevailed 3-1. Wall was named a tournament all-star.
