The Kelowna Chiefs get more than half of their offence from three players.
That trio was clicking again Friday night as the Chiefs grounded the North Okanagan Knights 5-2 in Kootenay International Junior Hockey League play before 400 fans at Rutland Arena.
League-leading pointgetter Nick Josephs counted his 27th and 28th snipes of the year for Kelowna, while Jagger Bowles bagged his 18th and 19th and Brady Mende recorded his eighth.
Josephs, who has been up with the BCHL Salmon Arm SilverBacks, also added one assist. The 18-year-old Calgary product has 53 points in 22 games.
Mat Lambert netted his 11th of the year to give North Okanagan a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes. Brett Hawyrs drew the assist at 12:53.
Bowles and Mende fired goals 30 seconds apart in the opening minute of the second before Tanner Burns, with his sixth, on a powerplay, equalized seven minutes later.
The Chiefs went to 17-6-0-1 for second overall in the KIJHL, while the Knights dipped to 9-11-0-1, good for fourth spot in the Okanagan Division.
