A Chilliwack native is going to Winnipeg for the Canada Summer Games to represent his province in wheelchair track and field.

The B.C. Wheelchair Sports Association unveiled a seven man squad that includes Eddy Solla.

He will compete in seated throws, shot put and discus.

“Congratulations to all the athletes selected,” said BCWSA Executive Director Gail Hamamoto. “This is one of our biggest Canada Summer Games teams in recent memory, and we’re so proud of the hard work that the athletes and coaches have been putting in preparing for the event.”
