Chilliwack Chief Skyler Brind’Amour wins BCHL Player of the Week award

The second year junior A forward exploded offensively in wins over Coquitlam and Wenatchee.

Chilliwack Chiefs forward Skyler Brind’Amour may be on the cusp of putting it all together at the junior A level.

Already a dominant faceoff man and defensive forward, the only missing element has been a consistent offensive game.

But the six-foot-two North Carolina native has just earned BCHL Player of the Week honours after putting up five points in two weekend wins.

The 19 year old had a goal and an assist in a 5-4 win over the Coquitlam Express last Friday. He collected the game winning goal plus two helpers in last Saturday’s 4-1 win over the Wenatchee Wild.

Brind’Amour has now posted eight points in 12 games after posting 24 points in 52 games last season.
