Chilliwack gymnast Zach Clay picked for Qatar competition

Gymnastics Canada names Clay to the national men's squad for the FIG World Artistic Championships.

Chilliwack’s Zachary Clay has been named to the five-man Canadian national men’s team for the 2018 FIG World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

The international event will be held Oct. 25 to Nov. 3 in Doha, Qatar with Clay joined by Rene Cournoyer (Quebec), Scott Morgan (B.C.), Cory Paterson (Quebec) and Sam Zakutney (Ontario).

“The Doha World Championships will provide the Canadian men’s team with the opportunity to measure themselves against the leading gymnastics nations,” said Ed Van Hoof, head national team coach for Gymnastics Canada.
