Chilliwack’s Colton Porter re-signs with NLL’s Vancouver Warriors

The defender is back with Van City on a two-year deal taking him through the 2021-22 season

Chilliwack’s Colton Porter is returning to the Vancouver Warriors, signing a two-year deal contract with the National Lacrosse League club.

The defender put ink to paper Aug. 1, on day one of NLL free agency.

The contract will carry the five-foot-eight and 175 pound defender through the 2021-22 season. The 29-year-old Chilliwack Mustangs alum enjoyed his first full NLL season with the Warriors in 2018-19, appearing in 18 games with two goals, eight points and 25 penalty minutes.

He previously had a three-game stint with the Colorado Mammoth in 2015.

Colton should have the chance to play alongside brother Zack Porter. Also a defender, Zack was named Vancouver’s top rookie in 2018-19.

The 26 year old got into one game in the 2019-20 season, but ended the campaign on injured reserve.
