The Langley Olympians Swim Club members competed in an invitational meet in Victoria at the beginning of December, sending 33 of its top swimmers.
The 2016 Pacific Coast Swimming Christmas Cracker Invitational was held from Friday, Dec. 2 to Sunday, Dec. 4.
Swimmers from across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, Alberta, and Washington State competed.
Many Langley swimmers achieved personal best times and new club records, and qualified for the nightly finals.
Joshua Kim, 14, achieved new club records in the boys 13-14 age category and the open senior category for the 100 m breaststroke (1:05.82) and the 200 m breaststroke (2:23.57).
Kim also broke the boys 13-14 year old 200 metre individual medley (IM) with a time of 2:11.57.
Katie Schroeder and Aidan Erickson both qualified for the AAA Championships coming up in March.

• Joshua Kim, 14 – Boys 13-14: 200 m freestyle, 200 m IM, 100 m breaststroke and 200 m breaststroke.
• Bailey Herbert, 14 – Girls 13-14: 200 m IM, 100 m breaststroke, 400m IM and 200 m Breaststroke.
• Luke Stewart-Beinder, 12, Boys 12 and Under: 400m Freestyle.
• Danika Bedard, 12, Girls 12 and Under: 800 Freestyle.
2nd Place
• Joshua Kim, Boys 13-14: 100 m Freestyle, 400 m Individual Medley and 50 m Freestyle.
• Bailey Herbert, Girls 13-14: 200 m Butterfly.
• Luke Stewart-Beinder , Boys 12 and Under: 200 m Freestyle and 1500 m Freestyle.
• Sarah Buckingham, 14, Girls 13-14: 200 m Breaststroke.
• Brooklyn Swaan, 12, Girls 12 and Under: 800 m Freestyle.
3rd Place
