The Ghostriders are heading to the third round of the KIJHL playoffs after knocking off the Kimberley Dynamiters 6 – 2 in game seven.

The Riders scored four times in the first period, and never looked back in front of 1,100 rowdy fans at Fernie Memorial Arena.

“Even after that tough loss in Kimberley, we said let’s just get back at it tomorrow. We knew this would probably be a long series and instead of wondering how we got there, we said let’s just go out and win,” said Head Coach Will Verner.

“I’m really proud of these guys.”

They will now await the winner of the Beaver Valley and Castlegar series, before heading to face the winner in the Kootenay Conference Final.

“Let’s get on the road. Let’s go win some hockey games.”

Be sure to check back for updates, and the third round schedule.
