It has been a great year for our team.

With the little time we have had on the pitch, they have come a long way to be competitive. From being dominated by other teams earlier in the year to recently winning the CYSL U15 division, this team has grown in preparation for this coming tournament.

For some of the team members, this is their first year playing soccer, for others this is their first time on a rep team, and for all of them it will be their first provincial tournament. This is an excellent opportunity for them to learn and play at a high level of competition.

Although being a good developing year, it has had its ups and downs. For half our season, our team has been playing much older teams. And we have lost a couple of our best players to injuries sustained during the season.

However, we have already had the chance to play one of our top competitors. With what I saw from those games, I am confident our team will be able to compete.

We are only fielding a team of 13 players, but they are good players. Our keeper is fantastic; we have fast strikers and solid defence.

The 100 Mile House & District Soccer Association (OMHSA) has done a fabulous job in securing this tournament. There is a tremendous amount of work the soccer association has put in to make this a reality for our town.

Thank you to the OMHSA for this opportunity, and for all those who have and are supporting this venue.

My wife, Krista, and I are honoured to be the coaches of the U15 boys team representing 100 Mile House.

This has been a great team to coach. The players have made it fun and the parental support has been great.

A special thank you to Duane Popadinac and Fred Saenger for filling in as coaches at games.

This tournament has been our teams focus from the beginning of the season. The guys on the team are really looking forward to it.

Come on out to support our boys and girls U15 teams.

John and Krista Park are the coaches of the U15 Boys team.
