Comox Valley Special Olympics curlers travelled to Parksville in December with the Bobby Bolen team winning the A event. Sherri Lyons’ team finished second in the B event and Randy Poole was first in the C event.
“We are hoping to have a bonspiel in Courtenay early next year and invite Victoria, Nanaimo, Port Alberni, Parksville, Duncan and Powell River,” a spokesperson said.
“All Special O curlers want to thank ‘Amazing Corn’ – Dorothy and Bob – for supporting our group with two new curling sticks They will be well used. So many thanks to you both.
“A big thank you to all the helpers – John, Larry, Peter, Greg, Richard and Arlene. We had a fun time this year and couldn’t do it without you.”
