Comox Valley Glacier Kings Dec. 22 game rescheduled to Feb. 9

Yetis host Nanaimo on Dec. 19 as the two teams battle for second place in VIJHL North Division

The Comox Valley Glacier Kings have announced that their game scheduled for Monday, Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. against the Oceanside Generals has been cancelled and rescheduled to Monday, Feb. 9 at 3 p.m. (Family Day in B.C.).

The Yetis have a big game on Friday, Dec. 19 when they host the Nanaimo Buccaneers in a 7:30 p.m. start at Comox Valley Sports Centre #1.

The teams are tied for second place in the North Division of the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League with 36 points each, although the Bucs (17-10-0-2) have three games in hand on the Icemen (16-12-1-3).

The game will wrap up the December portion of the G-Kings’ regular season schedule. They lace ’em up again on Jan. 2 in Campbell River against the North Division-leading Storm.

The Glacier Kings are preparing to host the 2015 VIJHL All Star Classic on Jan. 18. Game time is 1 p.m. at the Sports Centre.
