All skill levels are welcomed. Bring your friends!

Rugby is a sport that aside from being the most fun to play, offers a level of social engagement that keeps people coming back.

The Comox Valley Kickers Rugby Club has been playing matches dating back to 1889. It continues with its proud tradition, and puts forward a men’s and women’s side that practice in the valley, play on the island and sometimes on the mainland in the British Columbia Rugby Union. The season begins mid-August with practices at lower Lake Trail field. In September, practices are held at Village Park in Cumberland, as are the home games.

The women begin practising Aug.14 on Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the lower Lake Trail fields. For more information on the women’s team, contact Aimee Burley at 250-703-6677 or aimeeburley@gmail.com

The men begin practising Aug.18 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at the Lower Lake Trail field. For more information on the men’s team, contact Jesse Ramsay at 250-702-3087 or cvkickerssrrugbyops@gmail.com

For more information on the Coal Miners Old Boys program, which plays more casually, contact Chris Ostertag at 250-334-4701.
