Cassie Sharpe of the Comox Valley won a silver medal in the women’s ski superpipe competition at the X Games, Friday in Aspen, Colo.
She now has two golds, two silver and two bronze medals in X Games events, making her “the most successful superpipe rider on the roster,” the X Games website states.
Sharpe won the halfpipe gold medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. She and brother Darcy both won medals at Aspen 2018 and 2020.
“They join the short list of brother/sister duos who have medaled at the same X Games,” the website states.
Eileen Gu, a 17-year-old free skier from San Francisco, won Friday’s event in her X Games debut. She added a slopestyle gold on Saturday.
