Mayvin Midget Rep Milers hosted Prince George Cougars Tier 3 squad in a couple of games at the South Cariboo Rec. Centre, Jan. 12-13.

Both contests ended in losses for the Milers with Saturday’s match ending 8-4 for the Cougars and Sunday’s game finishing in a 7-1 victory for the visitors.

Milers Brayden Sanford opened up the scoring in game 1, potting a goal midway through the first period. The Milers then turned it into a brief 2-0 lead early in the second frame on a goal from Emmett Collins. By the end of the period, the teams were deadlocked at threes after a goal from Milers captain Mike Montgomery evened it up.

100 Mile took the lead once again in the opening minute of the third period with another marker from Sanford, but it was short-lived as the Cougars hammered home five consecutive goals for the win.

In game 2, the Cougars dominated from the start with two unanswered goals in the first period. Adrianna Johnson notched one for the Milers in the second frame, but that was the only puck to make it past the Cougars goaltender.
