The Cowichan Valley Capitals have announced their inaugural Celebrity Golf Tournament, set for Friday, Aug. 21 at the Cowichan Golf and Country Club.
Participants can enjoy a round of golf alongside Capitals players and coaches and special guests, followed by an evening at the Cowichan Exhibition grounds including dinner, entertainment and a live auction.
"The tournament is an excellent opportunity to spend a summer’s day with friends, family, or co-workers while getting to meet the very Capitals that will take to the ice just days later for the start of training camp ahead of the 2015-16 BCHL season," Capitals spokesperson Jeff Sargent said. "Whether it’s participating as a golfer or a sponsor, it’s also a way to help the Capitals build a better opportunity for upcoming players to craft their skills while providing a team that will entertain the Cowichan Valley for years to come." Individual registration, which also includes lunch at the golf course and some Capitals swag is $150, or $520 for a foursome. Registration forms are available at cowichancapitals.com and can be turned in at the team office in the Island Savings Centre or at the Cowichan Golf and Country Club.
