What do The Wizard of Oz, Aladdin and Rocky all have in common? They’re all among the movies whose famous theme songs will be featured in the Creston Valley Figure Skating Club’s ice show this weekend.

A Reel Ice Show will highlight the talents of over 60 local skaters, from youngsters participating for the first time ever to seasoned veterans of a dozen productions.

“All our skaters have worked really hard this year and it shows,” said coach Cassie Bloy. “They’re proud of their skills and looking forward to showing them off.”

The skaters are also looking forward to skating to the music from some of their favourite movies.

“It’s a chance for them to have fun with the music and get creative with the choreography,” said Bloy.

A Reel Ice Show runs on March 4 at 4p.m., at the Creston and District Community Complex. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.
