Creston team wins Valentine Bonspiel A event for first time since 2011

For the first time since 2011, a Creston Valley team topped 26 others to win the Creston Curling Centre’s 52nd Valentine Bonspiel, which ended today.

Laurie Heald presented the Creston and District Credit Union trophy to skip Kelly Thompson, third Carol Thompson, second Kim Masuch and lead Pam Severtson. A Cranbrook team skipped by Gloria PIckering placed second in the A event.

Three members of the Creston team that last won the A event placed fist in this year’s D event.
