Crown Isle men enjoy another terrific Tuesday

Gentlemen’s Night June 7 at Crown Isle saw 53 players attend the night of the two Jasons/Jaysons.

Jason Andrew won the low gross with a 33 for the Prime Chop House, with a KP (3’4”) on #7 for Sean Sweeney, Barristers.  Jayson Welsh took low net with a 30 (6-under par) for Hollis Wealth, and a KP on #4 for Assante Capital.

We also had a number of double prize winners. Chris Powers had a 3rd shot KP (13+) on #5 for Scotia MacLeod, Russ Keil; and a KP (everyone) on #16 for Gee Associates.   Padraig Vaughan won the 250 yard ‘Magic Circle’ for BMO Nesbitt Burns; and a draw prize for Hartman Auto Supply. Paul Skinner won the long drive on #1 (13+) for McDonalds and the KP (13+) on #7 for Sean Sweeney, Barristers.

Another 16 prizes were won by: Mark Valliere, long drive (-12) on #1 for Bill Anglin Re/Max; Chuck Brown won 2nd shot KP (-12) on #2 for Thrifty Foods;  Bob McCusker (our tireless setup man) won 2nd shot KP (13+) on #2 for the Head Shed Hair Salon; Brent Cunnliffe won a draw for being double bunkered on #3 for Coastal Community Credit Union;  Les Norman was ‘closest to the Mustang’ for Westview Ford;  Stan Campbell won KP (-12) on #4 for Sean Sweeney, Barristers;

On #5 Gerry Cormons had the longest putt for Finneron Hyundai; also on #5 Ron Schmidt won ‘any eagle gross or net’ for the Eagle 97.3FM;  Brendan Somers drove ‘closest to the white spot’ on #6 for White Spot Restaurant.

The “Magic Circles” on #8 were won by: Lorne Seitz (another tireless setup man) at 150 yards; and Brian Dyck at the 200 yard circle; Wayne Fontaine hit his 2nd shot ‘closest  to the house’ for Art Meyers, Royal LePage; on #12 Graeme Nelson won KP for everyone for Jim’s Clothes Closet.

Draw prizes were won by: Rick Maguire in a ‘blind draw’ for Budget Blinds; Daryl Pippin won a draw for CIBC Wood Gundy; and our assistant pro Evan Webber won ‘joke of the night’ for Canadian Tire.

A reminder, we go every Tuesday after 2 p.m. for 18 holes, and a 5:30 shotgun for our nine- hole games.
