Curling club gets new ice tech

The Salmon Arm Curling Centre welcomes Larry Carr as their new head ice technician

The Salmon Arm Curling Centre welcomes Larry Carr as their new head ice technician. Carr joins the club from the Horne Granite Curling Club in New Liskeard, Ont. He has his Level 2 Ice Tech designation and has been involved in curling most of his life. He started curling at the age of 12 and began helping the ice maker at 14 which sparked his interest in the art of making curling ice.

Since then he has developed his craft working full-time as an ice technician and volunteering at several national and world events.
