Two local hockey players are teaming up to raise money for fellow hockey player Olivia Davis.
Liam Peel and Landon Dzidyak are teaming up to raise money for Davis, who was diagnosed with leukemia near the end of 2013.
Davis, just 13 years old, is a goalie in Oceanside’s female league. She has been a volunteer with the Oceanside Generals over the last few seasons, setting up the nets and rounding up pucks before games and during intermissions.
Peel, an 18-year-old defenceman from Qualicum Beach who plays for the Save-On-Foods Oceanside Generals, and Dziadyk, a 14 year-old rep hockey player also from Qualicum Beach, will be shaving their flowing hair and having a fundraiser for Davis and her family in two weeks (details to follow).
There will be donation boxes set up at the concession at Oceanside Place, French Press Coffee in Qualicum Beach and the office at Kwalikum Secondary School.
If anyone would like to make a donation, you can go to CIBC and make a deposit to 000940/7869991 and make sure you give them Landon’s name.
