The Summer Smash is finally here.
This weekend, the sights and sounds of the races will fill the air, as the event brings in 4x4s, demolition cars, mini stock cars and more.
Races will begin at noon on both days, July 15 and 16, at the Hope Sports Bowl at Sixth Ave. Park, (behind the Recreation Centre).
Spectator admission is $10 a person, but kids 12 and under get in free. Registration for a car and driver is $40, and pit passes are $15 for each additional person.
The event is organized by the Hope Motorsports Group, which helps raise money for local service clubs such as Hope Search and Rescue and Hope Crime Prevention.
