The 10th annual Denman Island Showdown soccer tournament is set for July 23-24.
The event has raised more than $33,000 through the years for the continued maintenance of the community field and promotion of sport on Denman Island through the efforts of the soccer tournament.
“This is a great summer activity and has provided memories over the years on and off the soccer field,” an event spokesperson said.
Camping is available at a cost of $100 per team (please let us know in advance if you require access to the campground).
Teams can enter the following following categories: Family Division, 35 + Co-ed Division, 16 + Co-ed Division and Tweeners (between the family and 16+).
Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games. The fee is $300 per team which includes 10 T-shirts. Additional T-shirts may be purchased for $15/item. Payment is required July 15 with the cheques payable to the Denman Island Sports Field Association.
