Tessa Derksen’s spider senses were tingling when she predicted the Centreline Attack’s second win of the season on a smoky night.

The Attack edged the Mix 3-2 in North Okanagan Women’s Soccer Association Division 2 play Thursday night at Marshall #1.

Peggy Scheipp and Monika Jatel both sniped lovely goals for the Attack (2-9), while Amber Miller rifled one home from the 18.

Azra Crawley was confident and unstoppable in the first half in net for the purple ladies. Derksen took over in net the second half.

Mud Sharks conquer Crew

The Do-Itt Drywall Mud Sharks downed the Capri Brew Crew 5-2 at Marshall Field #2.

Jenelle Petersen was superb in net for the Mud Sharks (9-2) as Hailey Noakes and Lenai Schmidt each sniped a pair and Bryanna Cole added a single.

Sheri Macdonald scored on a breakaway for the Brew Crew (6-4-1) and Morgayne Eby rocketed one top corner from just inside the 18.

Neudorf, Baker lead Sistas

OTC/Sunterra Sistas edged the Green Rockets 2-1 at MacDonald Park.

Deanna Baker banged in the first goal from a  cross from Diane Neudorf for the Sistas (10-1).

Neudorf and Baker swapped roles for the second goal as if they were in Freaky Friday.

Neudorf and Jennie Currie spilt the keeper duties.

The Green Rockets fell to 7-4.

Silver Stars stop Kal Tire

Wolfgang Bopp scored twice as the Silver Stars grounded Kal Tire 4-1 in Okanagan Men’s 55+ Soccer League play at MacDonald Park.

Bopp stripped a defender of the ball and beat keeper Gordie Campbell just four minutes into the second half. Keith Chancellor made it 2-0, after a nifty feed from Nigel Clack, 10 minutes later.

Jenne Huberts took a cross from Mark DeVolder, challenged a defender and outwaited towering keeper Dave Gould, in tight, to pull the tiremen within one late.

Bopp and Colin Greveling, with his first goal since the 2010 World Cup, completed the offence as the Stars improved to 10-0-1. Clack, a central midfielder, took the Red Robin Man of the Match.

Central midfielder Jim Sparrow was the Rosters Sports Club Man of the Match for Kal Tire (4-6-1). Terry Lowe earned a clean sheet in the Kal Tire net for the opening 45 minutes.
