In the clash between last season’s top two teams, the first placed Cutting Edge Dragons lost at home to Legion 48 Bristle Bashers by a narrow margin of 16-17. Steve Collins won four out of five games while Sean Wallington and Frans Beijk both won three out of five starts. Frans Beijk also hit two Men’s High scores of 171 and finished one of his gamews with only 13 darts. Mike Driscoll won five out of six for the visitors and Alan Paterson chipped in with four wins out of six games.
Seventh placed Eagle Shooters increased their lead over last placed Qualicum Legion 76 Flyers with a 20-13 home win over the Flyers.
Mike Bowen and Dale Simpson both won five out of six games for the Shooters, while Viviane Papineau hit Ladies high scores of 120 and 126 for the home side. Peter Spinks won four out of five games for the visitors and Joe Frieberg hit a perfect score of 180.
Legion 49 Arrows were shot down at home by the Straight Arrows by a margin of 12-21. Leading the way for the visitors were Lisa Clair and Pat Thompson who both won five out of five starts with Lisa Clair also recording the Ladies High score so far this season of 162. Andrew Longmore, Anita Hopps, and Roger Schiller all won three out of six games for the home team.
