THE DODGE CITY Rollers opened the Vancouver Island Roller Derby League season in style Sunday by defeating Nanaimo's Harbour City Rollers 131-113 at the Comox Valley Sports Centre. Injuries were plentiful, leaving Dodge City with a roster of only eight bythe second period. The Nanaimo team fought a tough battle but it was the underdog squad with the coalminers' spirit that prevailed.
