Chase residents came together Sept. 16, to raise money and celebrate a national hero 31 years after his death.
About 35 people, young and old, gathered in the Chase Safety Mart parking lot at 10 a.m. Sunday to take part in the Terry Fox Run.
This year’s event in Chase saw more than double last year’s participants, thanks in part to the Chase Heat.
Residents were able to raise $413 in donations Sunday, with at least $100 more expected to be handed in.
