Doubles decided

After six weeks of competition, the top three doubles in youth bowling participated in the Zone tournament Sunday at Lincoln Lanes.

After six weeks of competition, the top three doubles in youth bowling participated in the Zone tournament Sunday at Lincoln Lanes.

Doubles teams have been bowling since January, taking the average scores. The winning doubles advance to the provincials, April 5, at Capri Valley Lanes in Kelowna.

Seniors Matt Christie and Matt Jones beat the field, winning gold with 120 pins over average.Keith Hoggard and Brandon Desmarais won silver wih 67 pins over average.

In the juniors, Patrick Kenny and Tommy Gauthier won gold with 126 pins over their combined averages.  Carson Christie and Andrew Cail won a silver medal with 103 pins over average.

In the bantam division, Sierra Merry and Tenayah Perry won a silver medal with 71 pins over their average, second by seven points.

Carys Reed and Lily Fiset captured bronze finishing 70 points over average.

 

Eamon Sweeny and Bryce Gullickson bowled great but fell shy of the podium in fourth place.
