Doyle dials up Gators’ offence Gators

Doyle earned the Sleeman’s Player of the Game by going 4-for-4 with a home run, double and six RBI as the Gators improved to 2-1.

Everything Jen Doyle hit Wednesday night turned into runs as the Whitehouse Mortgage Gators grounded the Lumby Dozers 13-6 in Vernon Women’s Slo-Pitch League action Wednesday night at Kin Park.

Doyle earned the Sleeman’s Player of the Game by going 4-for-4 with a home run, double and six RBI as the Gators improved to 2-1.

Lead-off hitter Kate Carter chipped in with four hits and one ribbie for the Gators, while Tiffany Disher drove in two runs on three hits and Kelli Graham was 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Andrea Smith was 2-for-4 with a triple and two ribbies, while Alenna Cameron had three hits.

Newcomer Lisa Campeau led the Dozers with two home runs.

In other play, the Devils dusted off the Dynamite 15-14.

Shortstop Pam Betton went 5-for-5 as the Devils won their first game in four starts. Jessica Hallam, Greg Barry, Paige Holbrook and Jen Ternier each went 4-for-5.

The Ice Cold Pitches, who lead the league at 3-0, had the bye.

In Vernon Senior Men’s Slo-Pitch League, Darl Homeniuk went 5-for-5 five with home run as Vernon Management brushed off M&K Ready-Mixers 26-19.

Homeniuk scored five times, while Scotty Morrice added five hits and five runs and Marv Friesen produced four hits and four runs as first-place Vernon Management went to 5-1.

 

The Lake Country Lakers and the Lions are both 4-2, while the Canadians are 3-3, the Mixers 2-4 and Rosters 0-6.
